Student Spotlight: Extreme Heat, Outdoor Activity, and Texas Children's Health

Event Description

Join us for a presentation highlighting the research of Suzanna Metcalf, a current MPH student, on protecting children's health in a warming climate.

Worsening extreme heat impacts the health of Texas children, who are both uniquely vulnerable and currently falling short of physical activity benchmarks. Strategic adaptations are needed to protect child health and safety in heat while continuing to promote improved physical activity outcomes.
