Event Description
The Center for Infectious Diseases lecture will feature two presenters. Hossaena Ayele, MSc, a GRA with the Hanson-Arias Lab and will present, "A randomized phase 1 study investigating gut microbiome changes with moxifloxacin vs. oral vancomycin: Implications for Clostridioides diffcile risk," and a doctoral student with the Walker and Hanson labs, Jesus Duran Ramirez, MPH. Duran Ramirez will present, "Genomics reveal staphylococcus aureus persists during long-term urinary catheterization despite antimicrobial therapy and catheter exchanges."
