I am pleased to share an exciting announcement from UT System Board of Regents Chairman Kevin Eltife and Chancellor John Zerwas naming Brian Dean as Executive Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs for The University of Texas System, effective August 1.

This appointment is a testament to Brian's exceptional leadership and the impact he has made across both UTHealth Houston and the broader UT System. Since joining UTHealth Houston as Executive Vice President for Health Affairs, Brian has helped advance our clinical enterprise, strengthen strategic partnerships, and position our institution for continued growth and success. His expertise has also been widely sought across the UT System through his service as a strategic advisor on clinical initiatives.

While he takes on this new role, Brian will continue to serve as Executive Vice President for Health Affairs at UTHealth Houston. He remains an integral member of our leadership team, guiding clinical initiatives across our university. Brian's leadership is critical to strengthening our health affairs enterprise, and I am grateful that our community will continue to benefit from his vision, expertise, and commitment.
