Dr. Betancourt Escobar received his MD from Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosi, Mexico in 2022. His interest lay on the field of anesthesiology, specifically in areas of cardiovascular anesthesiology and critical care. He joined Dr. Yafen Liang's research team as a postdoctoral research fellow since July 2024 and is working in clinical research on perioperative outcomes in the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at UTHealth.
