In my postdoctoral research at UTHealth Houston's Department of Neurology, I am primarily investigating the role of the microbiota-gut-brain axis in maintaining brain homeostasis and its implications in the pathophysiology of neurological disorders like Alzheimer's disease and cerebrovascular disease.
