Entrepreneur-in-Residence Program
The UTHealth Houston Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIR) Program is managed by the Office of Technology Management (OTM) to facilitate new venture activity based on technologies developed by UTHealth faculty, staff and employees. The EIR Program participants are typically serial entrepreneurs looking for the next latest and greatest technology to spin out into a new commercial entity.
EIRs at UTHealth Houston typically are involved in the analysis of currently disclosed UTHealth Houston technologies, including benchmarking, assessments, clinical validation, regulatory needs, platform alternatives, and competitive market analyses. EIRs formalize such analyses into business plans, with initial key milestones and financials, and may be eligible for a small stipend. If so interested, EIRs can also take the lead on company formation around a particular technology as CEOs.
For more information or for any questions, please contact Christine Flynn. If interested in participating in the program, please send a cover letter and CV to [email protected] at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston), Office of Technology Management.
