Academic Transcripts

All applicants to UTHealth must submit one complete official transcript from each institution of higher (i.e., post-secondary) education attended. Applicants to UT medical schools or dentistry (DDS) programs are required to submit transcripts to the campus where they are admitted in addition to the transcript which is submitted to the Texas Medical & Dental School Application Service in Austin. Transcripts with print dates over 6 months will not be accepted as "official". The official transcript should show a record of all academic work completed and must be submitted by the college or university directly to the Office of the Registrar. Transcripts may NOT be faxed.

The preferred method of delivery for official transcripts is as a PDF file sent to the Office of the Registrar's email account [email protected]. This option is available for all institutions that use a third-party service (Parchment/Instructure, Greenlight, and the National Student Clearinghouse) to process their respective transcript requests.

For all Texas public institutions, the preferred method of delivery for official transcripts is as an electronic data interchange (EDI/SPEEDE) file. Transcripts sent electronically by EDI/SPEEDE are typically received within 2-3 business days from the time they are ordered with your Texas public institution.

UTHealth has partnered with a number of other institutions who transmit transcripts electronically using electronic data interchange (EDI). A list of institutions that currently send EDI transcripts to UTHealth is maintained by our office. Institutions who use Parchment/Instructure or the National Student Clearinghouse for transcript delivery can send official transcripts electronically using EDI.

If your institution cannot provide official transcripts via PDF or EDI/SPEED, the official transcript should be mailed to the following address:

UTHealth
Office of the Registrar
PO Box 20036
Houston, TX 77225

This process can take several weeks for the official transcript to be received and processed by the Office of the Registrar.

Transcripts from colleges and universities attended outside the United States are also required. A request form is available to assist with these requests. For help with questions regarding transcripts from international institutions, please contact the Registrar's Office at 713-500-3361.
