The Office of the Senior Vice President, Academic and Faculty Affairs (SVPAFA) oversees six prestigious named scholarships funded by endowments at UTHealth Houston. This financial awards are made possible by the generosity of alumni and/or friends of the university. These scholarships are awarded on a rotating basis between all UTHealth Houston schools.
The Thomas F. Burks Scholarship for Academic Merit is selected by the Office of the Senior Vice President, Academic and Faculty Affairs and the TF Burks Scholarship Selection Committee at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston).
