Emerging Leaders Institute

Who can attend

  • The Emerging Leaders Institute is designed for newly promoted faculty or staff leaders or existing leaders (mid-career) who have not yet benefited from personal leadership development.

Enrollment steps

  1. Fill out the application to the program through this web site.
  2. Upon acceptance to the program, we will request approval from your manager.
  3. After we receive your manager’s approval, we will notify you via email of your enrollment.

  • Topics and Current Trends in Leadership
  • Organizational Culture and Team Dynamics
  • Leadership Presence and Style

What to expect

  • Participants will receive a personal leadership assessment and profile to identify strengths, positive leader behaviors and practices.
  • Participants will develop leadership skills, heighten self-awareness and develop a vocabulary to clearly articulate their leadership style.
  • Weekly intensive group sessions with the opportunity to engage with the presenters and the other participants.

Assignments

  • Participants will complete a final assignment to present at the last session.

Number of participants

  • Each session is limited to 25-30 participants.

After graduation

  • There will be some exciting ways to stay connected and for you to continue your leadership development journey. You will learn more about this at the last session of the program.

Location

Emerging Leaders will be offered virtually. Participants meet one day a week for four weeks.
