The Office of Development advances the mission of UTHealth Houston by seeking and securing philanthropic support for its programs in service to students and society. The office comprises four giving programs - Annual Giving, Corporate and Foundation Relations, Major and Principal Gifts, and Gift Planning.


Current Positions

  • Development Director in the Office of Development - The Development Director will develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive fundraising and advancement efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gifts, planned gifts, endowments, and annual giving programs to benefit the assigned service line or school within UTHealth Houston.
  • Executive Director, Alumni Engagement - The Executive Director, Alumni Engagement, as a member of the Development and Public Affairs leadership team, provides vision, leadership, and oversight of a comprehensive, centrally coordinated, university-wide alumni engagement program. This role leads the development of a cohesive engagement strategy across UTHealth Houston's seven academic schools and programs, advancing lifelong relationships with alumni, parents/family, and students. Serving as the university's senior alumni engagement expert, the Executive Director partners with school leadership, faculty, and staff to align engagement initiatives with institutional priorities and philanthropic goals. This position builds and applies data-informed engagement metrics to strengthen the alumni donor pipeline and expand participation through integrated communication, volunteerism, experiential learning and philanthropy.
  • Senior Analyst Data Management in Development - UTHealth Houston’s Development Office is seeking a Senior Data Management Analyst to utilize advanced data management and analytical tools. The Senior Data Management Analyst supports the Office of Development by leading data governance, data quality, and complex data operations within the Affinaquest (Salesforce) constituent database and associated reporting systems. This role serves as a senior technical resource responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, security, and usability of development data, while partnering closely with teams in the Office of Development, Public Affairs, and Information Technology. You will serve as the bridge between data analysts and business intelligence professionals on the data management team in Development.
  • Senior Executive Services Administrator for Development - UTHealth Houston is seeking a Senior Executive Services Administrator to work with our Senior Vice President of Development and Alumni Engagement. This is a high-profile administrative role that works not only with our high-level fundraising area but also with the Office of the President. This role will provide executive administrative support and perform advanced, confidential administrative duties requiring broad experience, skill, and knowledge of the organization's policies and practices. They will be the senior administrative professional in this area. You will need to handle high-level meeting logistics and multiple calendars for executives across all of our leadership roles. You will produce briefing documents with key talking points or profiles of meeting participants.
  • Program Manager and Administrator in Development - UTHealth Houston is seeking a Program Manager who will work with our Department of Development, serving an instrumental role in managing projects and providing strategic input on various program-related activities within the team. This position will align program activities to meet the department's goals and objectives. They will also provide administrative assistance to the Assistant Vice President of Development and support initiatives that recognize our care providers, faculty, donors, and students.
