Concurrent/Inter-Institutional Enrollment

The deadline to submit an application for Concurrent or Inter-Institutional Enrollment is the Monday that is two weeks prior to the start date for the semester of intended enrollment.

Agreements between specified universities have been established to facilitate with the admission and registration process. Students must be currently enrolled at their home institution in order to participate.

UTHealth international students who wish to enroll in other institutions must inform the Office of International Affairs prior to enrolling in another institution & must remain predominantly enrolled in UTHealth.

Concurrent Enrollment

UTHealth has concurrent enrollment agreements with

  • Texas Woman's University
  • The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley
  • The University of Texas at El Paso
  • The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio
  • The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center

UTHealth Students who are a full-time UTHealth graduate student may concurrently enroll at one of the institutions listed above.

Non-UTHealth students who are a full-time graduate student at one of the institutions listed above may concurrently enroll in courses at UTHealth.

Inter-Institutional Enrollment

UTHealth participates with the Gulf Coast Consortium (GCC) for inter-institutional enrollment.  GCC institutions include

  • Rice University
  • Baylor College of Medicine
  • The University of Texas Medical Branch
  • University of Houston
  • Texas A&M HSC-IBT.
